Legal P2P grows by 400%

Could the answer to stop illegal downloading and file sharing be legal file sharing, some experts within the industry believe so and if the figures are anything to go on maybe they could be right in this assumption.

According to research from Multimedia Intelligence, they have been looking into the world of P2P and have noticed that over the past five years legal file sharing has grown by over four hundred per cent.

The thing is legal P2P distribution can save business a lot of money, as the costs of content delivery can work out very expensive, this has been taken on board by organisations whose business is content and the legal P2P scene is set to keep growing, some feel even up to ten times as much as it is now.

The problems lie with the reaction of the internet service providers and how they see this affecting their networks in the future.
