Fox supporting piracy

As with many large organisations, it is often true that one section has no idea what the other is doing and this is the case with Fox. They are a huge media firm, who happen to be major shareholders in BSkyB and have seen their most recent film “X Men Origins: Wolverine” appear on the internet before it has even left the studio.

It seems that while they were laying down the law, getting the FBI involved and implying that they would be taking this theft as far as they could go, that some of their own staff have been downloading the pirated copy of the film.

This has sparked many arguments of double standards etc, but is it really. On the one hand there is the legal department who in doing their job issue warnings, whereas in other departments like news, they will report what is happening, is that simple!
