Poker site hacked by employee

Online gambling turned on its head when an employee hacked into the system and found a way that would give him better odds of winning at poker, in fact he could see the cards that the other players were holding. This advantage allowed the hacker to win between $400,000 and $700,000 according to another player.

The site absolutepoker.com state, the person was just a geek who wanted to prove a point, but I would have thought that it just an excuse and the hacker would have carried on for as long as they could get away with it.

This is not good for the industry and they will need to be extra careful with the sites security and now probably their employees.
